Information We Collect
Account Information
Name, email address, phone number, driver ID, and profile information
Location Data
Real-time GPS coordinates during deliveries, route information, and delivery locations

Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and battery status

Photos of deliveries, signatures, temperature readings, and delivery notes
Location Permissions & Background Location
Our Driver App uses location data to support real-time delivery tracking and accurate route/order assignment. We request location permissions only when needed and provide clear, prominent disclosures before requesting any background location access.
How permission requests work
- • When you tap Start Route (Route Details) or Start Navigation (Navigation), the app first requests foreground location access (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION).
- • After foreground permission is granted, we show a one-time, full-screen prominent disclosure explaining that the app may access location even when closed or not in use.
- • The disclosure explains why we need it (real-time delivery tracking and accurate route/order assignment) and when it may be used (only while a route is actively in progress).
- • Only then do we request background location access (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) with clear Allow / Don't Allow options.
When background location is used
If enabled, background location is used only during an active route to maintain reliable tracking and delivery coordination. We do not use background location for unrelated purposes.
Your control
You can choose Don't Allow and you can change location permission settings anytime in your device settings. Some tracking and route features may be limited if background location is disabled.
How We Use Your Information

To record cash collections and manage payment reconciliation for COD orders

Platform Behavior (Android 15+)
This release targets Android SDK 35 and enables modern edge-to-edge display behavior on Android 15 and later. The app uses safe layout handling (such as Safe Area and system inset support) so content renders correctly around system bars.
These UI updates do not introduce new data collection. Any remaining use of deprecated system bar APIs is limited to platform/library internals and will be removed as libraries are updated.
